Love this beautiful boat. Spotted it several times this summer on Penobscot Bay.

There’s no question that it’s made of wood. Wow!

Sailboats gathering in Bayside is a sure sign that summer’s fading. The annual Around Islesboro race was held last weekend. The race began and finished at the Bayside dock and was sponsored by the Northport Yacht Club.

Some boats came in the night before.

And the next morning the water churned with boats and their intense crews.

It was a glorious, windy, sunny day.

Just like last year’s race. But there were lots more spinnakers this year.
