<p>When it comes to coffee, the Northeast is finally putting some heat on the Northwest.</p>
<p><img title="Green Tree Coffee Roasters, Lincolnville Beach, Maine" src="http://2bnMaine.com/blog/photos/450bw-green-tree-coffee-roasters-lincolnville-maine-front-sign.jpg" alt="Green Tree Coffee Roasters, Lincolnville Beach, Maine" /></p>
<p>This rustic structure just across the street from <a title="Dot's Market, Lincolnville Beach, Maine" href="http://2bnmaine.com/blog/2010/03/26/dots-in-lincolnville-beach-a-new-foodie-source-in-lincolnville-maine/">Dot’s Market</a> in Lincolnville Beach is evidence of this steamy trend.</p>
<p><img title="Green Tree Coffee Roasters, Lincolnville Beach, Maine" src="http://2bnMaine.com/blog/photos/450bw-coastal-line-green-tree-coffee-tea-lincolnville-beach-maine-2bnmaine.jpg" alt="Green Tree Coffee Roasters, Lincolnville Beach, Maine" width="450" height="338" /></p>
<p><a title="Green Tree Coffee website." href="http://www.greentreecoffee.com/">Green Tree Coffee</a> and Tea isn’t the first, or the only, <a title="Coffee roasters in Maine." href="http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&amp;rls=en&amp;q=coffee+roasters+in+Maine&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;oe=UTF-8">coffee roaster in Maine.</a> But it may be the newest. Welcome!</p>
<p><img title="Green Tree Coffee Roasters, Lincolnville Beach, Maine" src="http://2bnMaine.com/blog/photos/450bw-green-tree-roasters-lincolnville-interior-maine-coffee-2bnmaine.jpg" alt="Green Tree Coffee Roasters, Lincolnville Beach, Maine" /></p>
<p>In the front of the shop and you’ll find all the gadgets necessary for brewing your own delicious cup of coffee. Along with a wonderful selection of their gourmet whole beans, roast, ground, flavored coffees, and interesting teas.</p>
<p><img title="Green Tree Coffee Roasters, Lincolnville Beach, Maine" src="http://2bnMaine.com/blog/photos/450bw-coffee-beans-green-tree-lincolnville-maine-2bnmaine.jpg" alt="Green Tree Coffee Roasters, Lincolnville Beach, Maine" /></p>
<p>Their beans are imported directly from all coffee growing areas of the world, and arrive in these wonderful burlap bags.</p>
<p><img title="Green Tree Coffee Roasters, Lincolnville Beach, Maine" src="http://2bnMaine.com/blog/photos/450bw-sampling-roaster-green-tree-coffee-roasters-lincolnville-maine-2bnmaine.jpg" alt="Green Tree Coffee Roasters, Lincolnville Beach, Maine" /></p>
<p>The roasting happens in the back of the shop. Small batches are tested in this small roaster to determine the best method for each batch of beans.</p>
<p><img title="Green Tree Coffee Roasters, Lincolnville Beach, Maine" src="http://2bnMaine.com/blog/photos/450bw-coffee-roaster-diedrich-green-tree-lincolnville-maine-2bnmaine.jpg" alt="Green Tree Coffee Roasters, Lincolnville Beach, Maine" /></p>
<p>Then once the roasting formula is chosen, the batch of beans goes into this large roaster. Mmmm, must smell so good!</p>
<p><img title="Green Tree Coffee Roasters, Lincolnville Beach, Maine" src="http://2bnMaine.com/blog/photos/450bw-04849-green-tree-coffee-roasters-lincolnville-maine-signage.jpg" alt="Green Tree Coffee Roasters, Lincolnville Beach, Maine" /></p>
<p>Green Tree started in New Orleans but smartly found it’s way to Maine. We’re so glad they did. And it’s great to see the 04849 zip code becoming so popular.</p>
<p>Now only if they would serve cups of coffee (they have no plans so far to do so.) And it would be great if they would post their roasting schedule so we could come by to watch, and enjoy the aromas.</p>
<p><img title="Green Tree Coffee Roasters, Lincolnville Beach, Maine" src="http://2bnMaine.com/blog/photos/450bw-green-tree-roasters-lincolnville-maine-sign-2bnmaine-coffee.jpg" alt="Green Tree Coffee Roasters, Lincolnville Beach, Maine" /></p>
<p>Be sure to ask them about their custom, personalized, roastings.</p>
<p><strong>Green Tree, Coffee and Tea of Maine</strong>, <em>2456 </em><em>Atlantic Highway, Lincolnville, ME 04849, 207-706-7900, Customer Care 207-706-7908, <a title="Green Tree Coffee" href="http://www.greentreecoffee.com/">visit their website</a>.</em></p>
<p><em>It&#8217;s just across the street from Dot’s Market, and the entrance to the Islesboro Ferry, on Route One. Don&#8217;t miss it.</em></p>
