Diet Coke and Mentos.

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

There are a slew of wild ‘science experiments’ on the web these days. You may be surprised to learn that this trend may have started right here in Maine. Fritz Grobe and Stephen Voltz are the crazy guys behind the poular ‘Diet Coke and Mentos’ video that’s been passed around the web for more than a year. They have already won a Webby and are up for an Emmy. You can find more of their antics at EepyBird.com. Alums of Celebration Barn Theater in South Paris, Maine, they are both involved in the Oddfellow Theater group in Buckfield, Maine where Grobe helps run the theater. Voltz is a practicing attorney in the Boston area. Think the jury has convicted him of first degree whackyness.  Stand back . . .

Have a ball in the snow.

Sunday, February 10th, 2008

The U.S. National Toboggan Championships were held this weekend in Camden, Maine at the Snow Bowl. Was it a great excuse to have a wild party or a celebration of a serious competition? No matter, it was proof positive that that humor and great times are thriving in the frozen north.toboggan championships toboggan championships toboggan championships toboggan championships toboggan championshipstoboggan championships
