July 1-3, Owl’s Head Transportation Museum, Fabulous ’50′s, 60′s, Antique  Car & Aeroplane Show — featuring more than 400 classic autos from the industry’s most stylish decades.

July 4, Monday, Thomaston Old Fashioned Independence Day Celebration — pancakes, races, crafts, parade, fireworks, FUN, etc.

July 1-5, Camden, The Festival of Independence – music, lectures, fabulous fireworks, etc.

July 4, Bar Harbor, This Time is Our Time — pancakes, parade, lobster boat race, music and fireworks over Frenchman Bay.

July 4, Wiscasset, July Four Parade.

July 4, Blue Hill, Flash in the Pans, Flash in the Park Street Dance.

(On a personal note — last year, the Thomaston Parade, and the Camden Fireworks, were both spectacular!)

Often they’re combined with a gas station, and they vary from just offering basics to gourmet havens.

In Southwest Harbor you’ll find a gem right on the main drag, so you’ll have to get your gas elsewhere.
