OK, here’s the secret. In Northport, there’s a spectacular fitness center, perched above Penobscot Bay, that everyone seems to think is very exclusive, but it’s not!
It’s current public members are thoroughly enjoying this facility and it’s gorgeous views of Lincolnville Beach and the islands beyond. What a great place to enjoy these winter months!
Point Lookout was built as an executive retreat by MBNA and is now owned by Erickson. It’s stunning. The setting itself is worth a visit. The view from the top is a mini version of the Cadillac Mountain views from a different direction. All the facilities are first class.
The entire site offers so much — lodging, dining, conferences, etc. But the fitness center is the subject of this post. Will cover more later. Take a look at just a few of the activities available to it’s lucky members. (These photos are NOT the best!)
Almost anything you could want in workout equipment, including personal trainers. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.

Next door is a full bowling alley, there are well maintained hiking trails, a soccer field, a baseball field, etc. Take some time to explore their site. Their pricing seems very reasonable for all that it provides it’s members. It’s a bargain!
